Donation Needs Update - 5.10.2007 11:00 am EDT

Dear Friend,

At this stage in the disaster recovery, financial donations are now more clearly needed.

Friends can consider donations to various Friends related recipients below.

-----

Checks payable to: Haviland Friends Church
Earmarked to: Disaster Fund
Mailed to: Haviland Friends Church
P.O. Box 246
Haviland, KS 67059 USA
Please call 001 620 862 5222 (to inquire about wiring instructions)

This fund will be used to help the 5% of all victims who have lost everything in the 1.75 mile wide, 205 mph tornado, which swept the ground for almost an hour. Included in the 1500 people who were displaced, five Haviland Friends Church members also lost everything, two lived in Greensburg, and three lived on farms outside of town which were also completely destroyed. A church member has assured me that each donor will receive an accounting of how all gifts to this fund were used.

Checks payable to: Greensburg Relief Fund
Mailed to: Haviland State Bank
P.O. Box 348
Haviland, KS 67059
001 620 862 5222 (to inquire about wiring instructions)
According to a representative from this bank, this is a general fund for all survivors which was set up by a minister from Greensburg. More information on the overseeing group for this fund will be provided as it is available.

Checks payable to: Barclay College
Mailed to: President's Office
607 North Kingman

(each donor will receive a letter of thanks)

At a recent meeting, the Downtown Manhattan Outdoor Quaker Meeting approved an in-kind donation which was sent to victims at a shelter in Kansas this week.
